Spring’s work has included:

Corporate
For a Fortune 100 retail company, advised senior leadership in the development and launch of a major initiative to leverage the company’s global size and scale to help empower women across its supply chain. Developed and drove a stakeholder engagement platform with leaders from government, NGOs, philanthropic groups, industry, and academia.

For a Fortune 100 food company, developed and drove an integrated stakeholder engagement campaign expanding its reach and participation in the national healthy food conversation. Created an echo chamber of support by amplification of messages through influencer engagement, partnerships, and media. Convened two summits providing the client a high-profile platform with 200 health, food, and nutrition leaders representing government, academia, industry, and health advocacy.

Multilateral
For a United Nations agency, developed a comprehensive internal and external communications strategy to support and advance its ability to raise awareness, action, and funds for sexual and reproductive health and rights. Advised senior leadership on how to build the most effective platform and communications tools to support their collaboration with the private sector, other UN agencies, NGOs, and the public.

For a multilateral funding agency, developed strategic advocacy plan for the first climate adaptation fund, designed to accelerate funding and innovative solutions to reduce economic and environmental pressures caused by climate change. Worked closely with leading academics, policy makers, and scientists to align on communications strategy, goals, messaging, and materials. Helped to position the fund as a new model of climate finance governance, to give developing countries the option of “direct access” to finance through their own national institutions.

Nonprofit
For the visionary leader of an environmentally responsible travel company, developed a week-long 2008 Arctic Expedition for Climate Action. Brought together the Aspen Institute, National Geographic, and 50 influential leaders including President Jimmy Carter, Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Google founder Larry Page, philanthropist Ted Turner, HP CEO Meg Whitman, and the heads of leading environmental organizations. The expedition led to new alliances and the creation of the Ocean Elders, a collective of leaders working to protect the ocean.
